VETUNESSM are pleased to announce their brochure is now available for download on The American Veterans Aid Fund website. The brochure can be found at the top of the Newsletter and Press Page at www.americanveteransaidfund.com


"We would like to see the people and businesses place links to our brochure on their websites and blogs in addition to e-mailing the brochure to their friends, family, peers, and associates as well," said Gregory Kelly Director-Founder, American Veterans Aid Fund. "Grassroots advertising and promotion means we do not have to pay for advertising resulting in more money for our veterans and programs."

Hey Friends,

Many of you have been asking what can I do to help the veterans.

The easiets way is to post our main website:

on your websites, blogs, and e-mail signatures encouraging your friends. family, associates, co-workers, and e-mailing it to people in your address books etc. to take a few minutes and donate at least $20

Enough caring people giving at least $20 will make a huge difference in reaching our $10 million Veterans Housing Capital Campaign goal.

The opening bid is $5,000.00 starting August, 1, 2007 with bidding closing on Tuesday, December 18, 2007 at midnight, in time for Christmas shipping!

. Bids must be made in $100.00 increments or they will be automatically rejected. In the event of matching highest bids, the time received will determine the winner.
 

Other autographs include lance Cpl Ian Lennon, USMC, Iraq (Long Island, NY) Specialist Robert Loria USA, Iraq (Middletown, NY)both of The Wounded Warrior Project; Walter E. Hughes, 82nd Airborne Division, WWII, Founding Chairman, Walter E. Hughes, Tri-State Mid-Hudson Chapter 82nd Airborne Division Association (Port Jervis), also provided outstanding country stylings and entertainment; local musician BWillie who opened the event with his Veterans Tribute song "Johnny(Marchin' Off Again)".


The Beautiful guitar on the auction block is a "Tribeca" under license to BABICZ Guitars USA "OM" body style(based on the very well respected Martin OM style{Eric Clapton Model}.


The guitar is a Rosewood body, with a beautiful Sitka Spruce top. It features the BABICZ "C.A.N " neck height adjustment system, which with the provided Allen wrench, you can in seconds, adjust the "Action"(distance between string & neck{i.e. "low" electric style or" higher" better suited to ,slide guitar}. This feature has won Jeff Babicz A U.S patent & is now under license to "Martin Guitars", the premier name Worldwide in Acoustic Guitars since 1833.Martin just unveiled their new model featuring the system@ the NAMM(National Association of Music Merchandisers)7-20-07.This is basically the same model, but with some totally unique features, such as a "Matte" finish, Special VETUNES Inaugural Event Logo on guitar & TKL plush hard shell 
case.

  • Providing assistance with medical expenses, including but not limited to,
  • purchasing medical equipment directly for veteran use and/or funding
  • unpaid medical expenses;
  • Supplying Retro-Fits and devices for existing homes to assist disabled veterans
  • so that he or she can continue to dwell in his or her home and in some cases providing temporary and/or permanent quality affordable housing for veterans;
  • Providing funding and advocacy to support families of deceased veterans,
  • including but not limited to, paying utilities, temporary mortgage assistance,
  • burial assistance, as well as legal and educational advocacy;
  • Providing support for training and other employment search related activities
  • and services, including but not limited to, employment counseling and
  • educating the general public in the employment capabilities of veterans;
  • Providing college, university, and vocational school scholarships for veterans or, in the case where the service member is killed in combat, making eligible the spouse and/or children of the veteran for those scholarships.

Housing, Assisted Living, and Veteran Village's Program:

At AVAF, we recognize that this is an unprecedented time in the history of

veterans in the United States.

A rapidly aging veteran population from World War II and Korea presents

unique challenges today, especially in terms of medical and housing

(assisted living) needs and today’s wounded warriors and families.

Due to the loss of income associated with deployments record numbers of veterans and their families

(includes families of active duty deployed) have become homeless: Optimize on housing market to

supply Veterans and their families (includes families of deployed service members) with housing/

purchase of existing new homes on market.

The average new construction, single family home under current market conditions in the Hudson

Valley is approximately: $300,000-to-$500,000

Housing Type: 1500’-to-2000’ 2-to-4 Bedroom Ranches. Pricing depends

on current market build out costs & associated disability/

medical needs.

NOTES:

1. Veteran Village: Provides veteran/family/assisted community oriented housing, commercial space

for veteran businesses and medical facilities. (Pricing estimate and full site plan is underway)

On Saturday June 9, 2007 the veterans, citizens and

businesses of the Hudson Valley came together with

one voice to honor and pay tribute to all veterans,

specifically two Sgt. Ed Ryan's representing two generations

(no relation) World War II and the Iraq War

at the pristine Mountainville Manor  (http://www.mountainvillemanor.com/index.htm) with over 125 in

attendance.

On behalf of all of America's Veteran's a big Airborne and Semper Fi! to

Legendary Musician Simon Kirke for his unwavering support of our Veterans

and the American VeteransAid Fund. It is his music, talents, and most

importantly his extraordinary compassion and unselfishness

that are the hallmarks of this great man and legend.
