Hi All,
Many of you know the story of Nicholas Principato - the little 5 year old boy with leukemia from the Jersey Shore. If not, you can read more about him at www.prayfornick.com.
Right now, I'm just asking all of you to take a few minutes out to pray that God's will be done for that little boy and his family - whether it means that he will soon be out of pain and playing with Jesus up in Heaven or that an incredible miracle will occur that the family will be testifying about for years to come...in either case, pray that God strengthens the faith of this family and provides comfort through this trial...and take a few minutes out to hug and kiss your loved ones...
Here are the most recent blogs from the family - the first is from the mother written yesterday and the next from his father, written today. You can log onto to the website and locate the blog and stay updated - and add messages of encouragement if you feel led. Thank you all for your prayers for this family!
Very upsetting news..

I took Nicholas to Robert Wood to talk with his doctor. I knew immediately when the doctor, the nurse practitioner and the social worker all came in it was not good. I have been on the other end of accompanying a doctor or someone else to talk to a family it is not good news. They said "we're not in a good situation". They gave us three options. One: go back to Sloan for some very intense round of chemo with at least five drugs that will make him very ill and most likely not get him into remission to go to transplant ( the doctors at Sloan agreed). Two: admit him to Robert Wood for chemo to help his symptoms for a while but not cure him. Three: Take him home, have him take oral pain meds and possibly some oral chemo for comfort. Joe and I agreed we did not want to put him through so much chemo if there was no chance of a cure. We have decided to take him home and let him be here instead of the hospital. He is getting some relief from the Tylenol with Codiene and morphine but his pain is already pretty bad. Please pray for his comfort. I would do anything to take away the pain he is feeling..
I barely remember the ride home. I just kept playing "There Will Be A Day" by Jeremy Camp over and over through my tears. That has been my theme song through all of this. My friend Michelle made the video for Nicholas with that song. I will write the lyrics soon, I just can't concentrate right now.
I know God has a plan. He has made His plan before Nicholas was even born. This is terribly hard to accept. I am struggling as I'm sure Joe is too. I just don't want him to be in pain.
Thank you to everyone for your messages and phone calls. I apologize for not calling back just yet. I can't even talk right now.
Thank you for prayers, Love, Kim

Hey all, Hey everyone just saying Hey. Today we received news that we are going to Disney this Sunday. Yippee! Not the way we want to go there. Nick had a good day. He felt ok, Donna our Nurse practitioner came to the house to check Nick. He might needa transfusion on Fri. Thank you Donna"We Love You" Just reading my bible and a few things I want to sahre. Job 3:25-26 What I always feared has happened to me. What I dreaded has come true.26 I have no peace,no quietness. I have no rest :only trouble comes. On a different note I was working today and got sunburn on my face. I thought of being on the beach and surfing with Nick. this scripture also came into me. Ecclesiastes8:9 I have thought deeply about all that goes on here under the sun, where people have the power to hurt each other. As a young boy Nick knows instinctevely why we surfers love what we do and he has the sensitivity to understand the difference between true Aloha and love for each other. Folks please put his Aloha in your life and Love everyone in this World. Live life like he does.
P.s. My email is Njsurfer31@verizon.net
if anyone wants to send anything.
Thanks for dropping in
Joe
