Asia War Watch: Scratched Surface, Festering Sore…North Korea

We woke this morning to the news of an artillery attack on South Korea from Northeast Asia’s festering sore, North Korea.

On November 4, 2010 we posted: The Fuse Is Lit: U.S. Asia Foreign Policy’s Intellectual Bankruptcy Leaves China in Charge…, describing the folly of U.S. Foreign Policy in Northeast Asia.

“In our previous post: I Feel Like Hal Lindsey! Tourism in Political Chess: China vs. Japan we previewed the atomic blast (financial, political, military) about to hit asia due in large part to a current U.S. Foreign policy in Asia that has left the U.S. and our allies, the few we have left, castrated by China, Russia and other regional players.”

“Several key analysts play down the powder keg scenario (Analysis: Strategic tensions threaten Asia as China rises) for the military portion however in historical terms this is a grave mistake.  It is only going to take one small scratch of the surface of civility for the region to explode into a regional conflict with devastating effects well outside the Geopolitical confines of Asia.”

Ask yourself why a brazen North Korea now?

What American media did not report from President Obama’s recent trip to India, G-20 Summit in Seoul, South Korea and Japan was the absolute and total rebuke he received from all of Asia, allies and foes alike.  This ‘loss of face’ for The United States of America via President Obama has left our enemies emboldened to carry on their agendas and programs realizing that President Obama has “Fundementally Transformed America” into a ‘Paper Tiger’.

Massive crushing debt, mounting unemployment, failing war strategy in Afghanistan/Pakistan, lack of historical knowledge of Northeast Asia and a foreign policy that responds to violence with oh so brutal letter writing campaigns (yes the world laughs at President Obama’s responses) has force marched the region to the brink of the atomic blast (financial, political, military) that we are literally seconds away from.
