JAPAN (KOREA) CHINA: Japan Restructures Northeast Asia Forcecom, Cannot Rely on US Government

While the US was preoccupied with the upcoming November 2010 elections we at K2 GLOBAL COMMUNICATIONS LLC posted I Feel Like Hal Lindsey! Tourism in Political Chess: China vs. Japan on September 22, 2010.

Fast-forward to today’s news: Japan faces up to threats from China, North Korea.

Over the course of the past four (4) months the US government and media have repeatedly either intentionally played down significant developments in Northeast Asia or on the scary side for all their ‘expertise’  completely missed IT!

With that said the more crucial aspect is the historical seething hatreds and fears Japan and China hold for each other.

The “territorial dispute” is far more. It is China flexing its muscle around Asia, in particular with an old nemesis: Japan.

Here in the West people have this odd notion that all is well and calm between JapanKorea-China…Not So.

All the old distrusts and hatreds are burning in a cauldron and have been ever since the end of WWII. The real danger is the polite surface of Northeast Asia’s “3” will be scratched and literally all hell will break loose.

Japan eyes Korea and Japan as its gateway, launch pad, into mainland Asia.

China uses the Korea’s as a buffer between itself and Japan.

Korea and The Koreans are caught in the middle

North Korea is a puppet of China.

China is emboldened by the now weak U.S. Economy, which they control, and our military commitments globally that are wasting our resources.

China smells blood in the water when it comes to Taiwan as a succession of U.S. Presidents and Secretaries of State and Defense has bailed on our commitment to Taiwan and its people….Watch for Russian activity in the area as well.”

We are here pointing to the fact that K2 Global Communications LLC called it right from the start with what most deemed a very insignificant spec of a development yet we analyzed it for what it was and now has become…The Reemergence of Northeast Asia’s Powder Keg! (See Our Post: The Fuse Is Lit: U.S. Asia Foreign Policy’s Intellectual Bankruptcy Leaves China in Charge… )

Several key analysts play down the powder keg scenario for the military portion however in historical terms this is a grave mistake.  It is only going to take one small scratch of the surface of civility for the region to explode into a regional conflict with devastating effects well outside the Geopolitical confines of Asia.”

Along came The Spider: We Are All Dead Now: This is Not Your Fathers North Korea

The most frightening aspect of todays news concerning North Korea‘s (DPRK) artillery attack on our staunch ally South Korea (ROK) is the media, analysts, academia, pundits and government officials that are still looking at the ‘Old North Korea’ model passed down from their fathers instead of the ‘New North Korea’ model that acknowledges the reality that with the advancement of technology and globalism  North Korea has adapted and modified their international relationships far beyond what the West is willing to admit (read as decades of failed policy).

Russia you dost protest too much.  If you believe Russia is seriously upset with the latest attack and that China will intervene and protect the Republic of Korea-U.S. interests then you might be interested in the bridge in Brooklyn that is still for sale.”

The US Government and Media reacted to the Naked Aggression of North Korea by restraining South Korea from answering North Korea.  Instead US President Obama penned (in his own words) “A Strongly Worded Letter”, sent a paper flotilla coupled with the US Government’s begging China to intervene left a huge power deficit in Northeast Asia, thus we now see Japan taking action to protect itself no longer assured that the alliance with the US will help them survive.

Washington has proven itself to be no more than a ‘Wet Noodle’ in Asia Affairs.
