We, the families of St. Thomas of Canterbury Parish School, YOUR PARISH, YOUR COMMUNITY recognize that our children’s school, our parish and our community/businesses are all interconnected and need each other to survive!
- EMPTY ENVELOPE CAMPAIGN: We ask you to join the campaign. Place a note: No School/No Money in your weekly offering and other envelopes.
- PARISH BULLETIN ADVERTISERS: Please stop advertising in the parish bulletins. We are families loyal to you, spending our money with your businesses…for now. ?
- BOYCOTT ALL FUNDRAISING APPEALS; CANCEL YOUR ARCHBISHOP APPEAL, Catholic Charities, Missions, and Seminary etc!
Why should I get involved?
- The Archdiocese ‘CENTRALIZED URBAN PANNING’ Agenda: 1. Our Parish Schools are first to be eliminated followed by the parishes. 2. St. Thomas after being labeled ‘unsustainable’ is to be the next church property set for the auction block in this area. 3. Collect-n-Send (redistribute your money) YOUR PARISH funds to the ‘Centralized Urban’ parishes.
- The Archdiocese continues to ask for and funnel our money to build and support children and schools in Africa, Asia and South America. Ask yourself why the education and support of OUR CHILDREN is not important to the Archdiocese?
- The Archdiocese was presented with a fiscally sound, viable Tri-Parish School Combination plan consisting of our friends and neighbors in Sacred Heart (Highland Falls) and St. Joseph’s (New Windsor). Flatly rejected, Why?
- Our Children, Your Children ARE the future of the Catholic Church. What will your church look like after our children are sacrificed by the Archdiocese? Is this the church Jesus meant it to be? That you want it to be?
